number and email ID is not registered in the court CIS data base you cannot
complete the registration process. So advocates who have not yet registered
with the court data base contact immediately the court where you are practicing
for registering your mobile number and your email ID in your court CIS data base
and then start the registration for efiling to become a digital era advocate.

hereunder.
Before getting started for
registration keep the following details ready.
1. Details of your mobile
number, email ID registered with court data base
2. Details of your bar
enrolment number
3. Digital photo in Jpeg/Jpg
format of size between 5 KB to 5 MB
4. Identity proof (pan card/
aadhar card/ voter card/ driving license / bar registration certificate of size
between 5 KB to 5 MB
5. Smart phone / laptop with
internet connection
As it is a time bound registration
you need to complete within 18 minutes. Don”t start registration without having
all the above details read.
Here are the 10 step registration
procedure for advocate at efiling portal www.efiling.ecourts.gov.in.
Let’s get started.
Step 1.
Type www.efiling.ecourts.gov.in. which
will lead to efiling portal.
Step 2.
Select your state
1. By clicking on the drop
list (or)
2. By clicking the state
directly from the india map.
Step 3.
Click the register button in the
login page.
Step 4.
Select the radio button ‘Advocate’
from the registration form.
Step 5.
Fill up the following details
·
Mobile number
·
Email ID
·
(The mobile number and the email ID that is registered with
the court where the advocate practices must be furnished. If the mobile number
and email ID are not registered with court data base then registration will not
be completed and in that case contact concerned court for registering the same)
·
Bar registration number of the Advocate
·
Choose user ID (your preferable choice)
·
Choose where you are enrolled
·
High court/court establishment.
·
Choose the high court
·
Enter the captcha
·
Click ‘get OTP’
Step 6.
Check your registered mobile number
and the registered email ID for OTP. You should receive 2 separate OTP in your
mobile number and the email ID. In some cases you may receive one OTP in your
mobile number alone, in that case enter the OTP received in your mobile number
and proceed further.
Step 7.
·
Two OTP verification. If you have received two OTP, enter the
OTP received in your mobile number and the OTP received in your email ID in the
respective entry bar and click ‘verify OTP’
(or)
·
One OTP verification. In some cases if you have received one
OTP in your mobile number alone, then enter that OTP in the mobile OTP entry
bar and click ‘verify OTP’
Step 8.
Fill other details
·
Password
(password must ocontain
minimum 8 digit and must include 1 upper
case character, 1 lower case character, 1 character,1 number, 1 special
character)
·
Confirm pass word
·
First namr
·
Last name
·
Other contact number
·
Gender
·
Date of birth
(DD/MM/YYYY)
·
Address
·
City
·
Stae
·
Pincode
Step 9.
Upload your photo and ID.
1. Just take a photo with
your smart phone and upload your photo (or)
2. Upload the photo already
taken and which is readily available in your laptop or mobile phone
3. Similarly just take a
photo of your ID card or scan your ID card with your mobile phone using any one
mobile scan application (or)
4. Upload the scanned copy or
photo of the ID card which is readily available in your laptop or mobile phone;
5. To upload the photo and
the ID card use choose file option and before uploading ensure that your photo
and the ID card are in the same format Jpeg or Jpg and in the size between 5 KB
and 5MB;
6. Then you have to choose
the type of ID card uploaded whether it is pancard / Aadhar card/ voter card /
Driving license /Bar registration certificate
from the drop box option.
Step 10.
Finally enter the captcha code
given in the box and click the ‘Register’ button to complete the registration
process.

You have successfully
become a registered Advocate of efiling . Welcome to the digital world of
efiling of High courts/District courts of india. Start efiling your cases from
the comfort of your office.
